Jon Ansoleaga: ‘We must attract more companies to INDEUS'
This morning, the Álava Campus of the Basque Technology Park hosted the first meeting of the year of INDEUS, the Basque Industry Platform, at which Jon Ansoleaga, Director General of Spri, welcomed the members of the platform and thanked them for their commitment to the Basque language and to INDEUS. Sonia Rodríguez, Director of Research and Linguistic Coordination for the Basque Government, also took part.
After the initial greeting, Ansoleaga highlighted the challenges for the future, which include attracting more companies to INDEUS ‘because new companies offer new perspectives and experiences that enrich us all’. In addition, ‘we must continue to make an effort to guarantee services in Basque, so that companies that have chosen to work in Basque do not encounter difficulties’. In this regard, the CEO of Spri pointed out that INDEUS has a catalogue of companies that offer their services in Basque (https://indeus.spri.eus/eu/enpresa-katalogoa).
Following the speech by the Director General of Spri, those attending the meeting analysed the work planned for 2026, putting on the table both the proposals made at last year's meetings and the needs expressed by companies. The topics analysed and proposed for work this year include best practices, services in Basque, inspections, communication strategy, indicators and language technologies.
Once this part was finished, the meeting welcomed the company INTOOL, which presented its services in Basque in the field of digitisation of technology and competitive intelligence processes.
To conclude today's activities, the members of the platform visited the company i+Med, a member of INDEUS, to see the new facilities inaugurated a year ago and named “Gure Etxea, Zientzialarien Etxea”.
