Functions and operation

The function of INDEUS is to identify the difficulties, obstacles and needs of companies whose working language is Basque and to help these companies find solutions. To fulfill this function, three working groups have been created:

DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT - Although the scope covered by this working group is very broad, a number of areas have been defined to address, among others: assessment of the Basque language in business support programs, training activities, own dictionaries and glossaries, cybersecurity, free software, management systems and digital space.

PRODUCTS IN BASQUE LANGUAGE- External and internal linguistic landscape in companies, identification of the tools used by companies (analysis of their presence in Basque), identification of the companies that produce them, development of subsidy programs.

ATARIKO - This working group is aimed at companies that make little use of the Basque language, to identify their difficulties in using the Basque language and to inform them of the aids available to them; also to learn about the good practices of the companies in the other working groups of the initiative.

Promoter Group

Spri, EVE, the Vice-Ministry of Language Policy and the Provincial Councils of Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa make up this Group. Its main function is the general coordination of the initiative and its strategic lines, in addition to organizing the meetings of the Working Groups and the annual General Assembly.
