Imanol Iparragirre - ELAY

"ELAY Bidea is our own model in which we have included our language, our culture, our values, our territory and our people"

ELAY was established almost 60 years ago in Antzuola (Gipuzkoa). Today it also has plants in Mexico and China. The company produces safety parts for the automotive sector.

Imanol Iparragirre, from ELAY's Digital Transformation area, welcomed us at the Antzuola headquarters and gave us the opportunity to learn more about the company, starting with a major challenge they successfully faced a few years ago: "It was a European project to build a giant 27-kilometer tunnel, a particle accelerator, in which we participated hand in hand with a German customer. We built the pieces that joined the tubes along those 27 kilometers, no more and no less than 7 million pieces."

We asked Imanol about ELAY Bidea, the model that the company has developed, to which he answered "What is the path that ELAY wants to take in the world? Well, we have included our language, the Basque language, our culture, our values, our territory, our people...". And he added "if the company manages to be well integrated in its environment, in its language, in its values, this also adds value to the company".
