The company was founded 35 years ago, mainly for customers in the machine tool sector. Since then they have been expanding their workspace and today they have a wide range of sectors on the customer list, such as food, packaging, pharmacy or automotive. Bittor Larraioz and Xabier Iturralde tell us what the Larraioz Group is.

Larraioz Elektronika, Basque Automation and Automation & Research form the group: ‘At Larraioz Electrónica, our primary focus is to offer this concept of movement for machinery manufacturers. What we do at Basque Automation is generate the machine's intelligence. Automation & Research is a service company that repairs and refurbishes electronic devices, it operates within the concept of the “circular economy.’

‘We're small, and we know our competitors are international companies that are much larger than us. We must therefore find an identity. Quality must prevail above all, and we must excel in what we do. We have to promote our name; that is why we chose Basque Automation, because the Basque Country, Euskal Herria, has its own identity; people from other countries already know it.’ said Bittor and Xabier.

Larraioz Group joined INDEUS earlier this year, which prompted us to talk about language ‘We cannot compete on salaries with large companies; there will always be someone who pays more. Therefore, we must create bonds with people; where and how we live is a bond. And Basque can also be one of them.’
