Rikardo Bueno - BRTA

"If we offer a working environment in Basque, this will make the company more attractive"

Basque Research and Technology Alliance, BRTA, is the alliance of which 17 research and technology centers in the Basque Country are members. Rikardo Bueno is its general director. The organization was created in 2019 to improve the competitiveness of companies and achieve a more innovative society.

Ricardo Bueno points out that the alliance has two objectives "on the one hand the function of the centers to extend technological solutions to the business world, to reach better, to make that transfer better. And on the other hand, to promote collaboration between the centers themselves."

The general manager of BRTA has stressed that the Basque language can be a determining factor in the struggle to attract talent to the work centers: "If we give the opportunity to carry out working life in Basque, I believe that this will also make the company more attractive".
