Javier Príncipe, Ramon Mendiguren - CIKAUTXO

"Being used to managing the Basque language has been a great help when it comes to integrating other languages into the company's language policy"

Javier Príncipe and Ramón Mendiguren, president and member of the Basque group of CIKAUTXO respectively, have opened the doors of the company to participate in the Indeus interviews project.

Founded in 1971 in Berriatua, the Cikautxo cooperative currently has 8 factories around the world, in the United States, Mexico, China, India and the Czech Republic, among others, with a workforce of around 2,600 people.

The president of Cikautxo explains what the company does: "Nowadays we work in polymeric solutions, we have also entered the world of plastics. We make the recipe of ingredients here, we mix the polymeric material here and then we produce it and sell it around the world".

As an internationalized company, they have approached the language policy with a certain advantage: "Developing the language policy was a challenge. We were used to managing in Basque and this has been a great help when it comes to integrating other languages."
